Helping individuals with developmental disabilities of all ages to succeed in
community living and live healthy, safe, quality lives. Offering long-term
planning and person-centered services to support all areas of life including:

p.m., Friday. We provide full-time and part-time skill training as well as
hobby-type courses. We also provide career counseling, ABLE/GED classes,

GRADS is an inschool program for pregnant teens and/or teen parents.
Goals of the program are to have a healthy pregnancy and to have the teen

developing children ages three to five years old. Classrooms are located in
Bladensburg,Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown, Howard and Mount

The Parent Mentor program is a support network for parents of children in
special education and referred students of the Knox County and Mount
Vernon school systems. The services provided are parent education, support
on an individual basis, attend IEP meetings, resources, and link families to
community agencies. Autism Spectrum Disorder Support Group. Call for

Provides early childhood education and childcare services to 250
preschool age children, infants and toddlers. The agency operates Head Start
programming in a traditional model of half-day preschool, 4 days per week,
the Head Start home-based model, and also provides full-day/full-year
services through childcare center and childcare collaboration. Satellites:
Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown, Gambier, and 20 Northgate Drive,

    For expectant parents, infants and toddlers up to age 3. Provides health and developmental services so that children start school healthy and ready to learn. Includes home visits for all newborns and other Help Me Grow families, specialized services and public awareness with special emphasis on early intervention and prevention. Located at the Knox County Health Department.

  • Home Health Care at the Knox County Health Department

    Skilled nursing services for homebound clients, including post-operative
    care, diabetic management, IV therapy, wound care, chronic disease
    management, colostomy care and nutritional counseling. Certified wound
    care therapist on staff. Therapy services include physical, occupational and speech therapy. Certified Home Health Aides offer personal care assistance.

  • Put It Out for Good - Tobacco Cessation Classes ....... 392-2200
    Weekly classes and counseling groups offered evenings and daytime to stop tobacco use including cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco and snuff. This free cessation program uses doctor assistance, nicotine replacement therapy and counseling. Coordinated by the Knox County Health Department and the Alcohol & Drug Freedom Center.
